Unity 4 Orphans is excited to announce our first corporate sponsorship with The Captain Collective, which will benefit over 1,700 vulnerable children in Latin America.
Keenan Jacobsen, owner and founder of The Captain Collective is partnering with us to change the lives of children living in poverty through a corporate sponsorship.
San Diego Company The Captain Collective Helps Vulnerable Children
In 2022 Keenan returned from a surf trip inspired to start a business in the yacht industry. As a yacht broker, he realized the need for reliable sea captains to hire for long-haul yacht and sea vessel trips and relocations.
I was looking for a philanthropic arm for my business and as a full-time single dad, it’s important to me to help kids who don’t have parents, as well as the Latin community since I grew up in a primarily Latino neighborhood. I also like that U4O is faith-based and I’ve watched Joe dedicate his life to helping vulnerable children.
–Keenan Jacobsen, Owner of Captain Collective
From there things began to fall into place and Keenan now has a crew made up of highly recommended boat captains. As a full-time single father he is very close with his son and tying his business with an organization that helps children is important to him. Through his friendship with U4O Founder Joe Brandi, he learned about what we do for children throughout Latin America and decided to get involved.
Businesses Can Partner with Unity 4 Orphans to Double Their Impact
As a corporate sponsor, businesses can truly make an impact on children stuck in the cycle of poverty, who have often experienced abandonment and abuse. Partnering with U4O for the sake of brighter futures for the kids is a wonderful way for companies to give back!
Unity 4 Orphans loves corporate sponsorships because it builds into our belief system that not only individuals believe in our mission and vision but also large and small businesses believe so much they want to financially support and partner in our work to change children’s lives.
–Joe Brandi, U4O Founder & Mission Director
Individuals and families can also bless the kids through matching gifts; use the search tool on our website to search by company name to find out if your employer can help you double your donation.
Setting Up a Corporate Sponsorship with U4O is Easy
Thanks to Keenan Jacobsen and The Captain Collective, we’re looking forward to the impact we can create together for kids in Latin America. In the future, he hopes to visit the locations where our partners have boots on the ground and be able to witness U4O’s mission firsthand and share it with others.
We’re so excited to find these types of innovative partnerships that allow our corporate sponsors to give back and help the kids in powerful ways.
–Dan Gossett, U4O Operations and Finance Director
