Unity 4 Orphans introduced 5th grader Juliana Ros in November, whose creative idea brought joy to the children at one of our partner orphanages in Tijuana. Juliana knitted stuffed animals based on one her mother made for her that brings her comfort.
On January 8, Juliana and her mom, Fernanda, joined us on a Service Trip to deliver the “Companions” to the children in person! They enjoyed seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces when they received the heartfelt gifts, and also spending time with them reading stories and doing crafts.
“We had an amazing time and enjoyed being with the kids. . . We played and laughed a lot. Juliana even learned how to jump rope!“
– Juliana’s mom, Fernanda
When they got back on the bus to return home, Juliana was excited to find a note that said, “Thank you for the stuffed animals. God bless you.” She is knitting more stuffed animals for the children at the other orphanage that we support, and is looking forward to returning on another Service Trip to give them in person.
We’re so thankful for Juliana’s creative spirit and giving heart, and that she chose U4O to bless with her talents. We hope this heartfelt story inspires you to make a difference too!
