Join Unity 4 Orphans on September 28 at our Wave-A-Thon and Beach Bash fundraiser where supporters of all ages can raise money and hit the waves or cheer from the beach for a great cause!
This year is our 5th annual Wave-A-Thon and it’s a classic San Diego event with fun, sun, and fellowship in a beautiful setting. Join us at 10 on Saturday morning, September 28 at the end of Law Street in Pacific Beach, and get ready to have a blast while helping vulnerable children throughout Latin America!
Calling All Surfers, Boogie Boarders, and Standup Paddleboarders!
Do you surf, boogie board, standup paddleboard, or bodyboard? However you like to ride the waves, you can help us reach our goal of raising $100,000 by gathering sponsors, inviting your friends, and spreading the word.
The Wave-A-Thon allows people of all ages, surfers and non-surfers, to get their friends and social network excited about helping vulnerable kids who they may never meet, but who need support, care, and additional resources.
–Caitlin Snyder, Executive Director
By using our small spheres of influence, we can join forces for kids living in difficult circumstances with limited opportunities. With one billion vulnerable children worldwide, we can feel powerless to help, but as Helen Keller said, “Alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much.”
U4O’s Wave-A-Thon Raises Funds for Education, Counseling, and Nutrition Programs
The easiest way for people of all ages to engage with children who need our help to rise above poverty is to raise money for organizations like U4O. We focus on preventing orphanhood by strengthening families and creating opportunities for vulnerable kids in the countries we serve.
Our annual Wave-a-Thon is a special event that we look forward to each year. On September 28, we’ll have the opportunity to bring awareness of our mission to Pacific Beach and raise financial support for our programs through surfing. This is a fun, high impact event and we are grateful to everyone who makes this event a great success each year.
–Paul Polakowski, Board Chairman
We’re building an event around not only those hitting the surf, but also for landlubbers who want to raise funds and stay on the shore. The Beach Bash will provide a fun day for friends, families, coworkers, and neighbors to end summer on a high note and make a difference. Sign up now to start raising money and receive all the info you need to be part of this classic San Diego event!
