Over a sunny weekend in June we gathered to celebrate our amazing Unity4Orphans team members and volunteers! The outdoor patio at Solterra Winery & Kitchen in Leucadia was a perfect venue, and we enjoyed delicious food and delightful company! Our group of 30 was excited to be there, especially because some of us were meeting in person for the first time.
After some mingling, Founder Joe Brandi greeted the group to introduce team members and offered heartfelt thanks for all of their efforts in supporting U4O’s mission. Under the guidance of the board members, our professional team keeps operations running smoothly, aided by volunteers who really are the backbone of the organization. These are the dedicated people who work tirelessly behind the scenes every week and are the manpower at big events and fundraisers that help our non-profit thrive and achieve its mission.
Joe shared his story of how he was inspired to help orphans around the world after taking a trip to Africa, and encouraged others to experience the incredible feeling of spending time with children who have so little. He wrapped up by saying, “Join us on a trip!” With things opening up again, many shared their excitement and hope for the future, and this happy vibe was shared by all in attendance.
We are so grateful for each board member, trip leader, marketeer, team member, and event volunteer . . . We literally could not do it without you!
