On Saturday, May 22, Shannon and Ayham Skaf hosted a Diamonds & Denim Casino Night Fundraiser at their lovely home! The San Diego sun was shining, and so were the guests as they mingled, sipped, and played games.
Jacobsen Perri Cellars sponsored a wine tasting table and many local businesses provided silent auction items ranging from a Cabo San Lucas Luxury Getaway, to a Private Flight to a destination of the winner’s choice. Paul Polakowski, our live auctioneer extraordinaire, led the way with an incredible $10,000 pledge, which was quickly matched by Leo Hamel and other gracious patrons.
Though it felt like fun and games (literally), with the help of our generous donors and proceeds from our silent auction, we raised $89K! These funds will directly benefit the children we serve in Mexico and Nicaragua by providing food security, educational instruction and materials, and mental health support.
We’d like to extend another “Thank You” to our gracious hosts, the attendees, and all who donated! We’re looking forward to the next event, and hope that in the meantime we’ll see you at one of our upcoming Service Trips!
