Past Champion

Why did you originally get involved with U4O?

My husband and I started going to church and wanted to get involved with a ministry to serve. I had never been a baby or kid person, but one Sunday I knew God was tugging on my heart to get involved with helping kids. I looked up local orphanage groups in San Diego and came across Unity 4 Orphans. Once we went on our first trip, my husband and I knew this was the organization that we wanted to support.

How long have you been involved with U4O?

I have been involved in Unity 4 Orphans for over four years now. I love the organization and friendships I have made over the years!

What motivates you to stay involved with U4O?

I love the heart behind our organization. We are committed to going to Mexico twice a month to build relationships with the kids. I think this sets us apart from other organizations.

What do you do as an advisory board member for U4O?

I help with fundraiser events and collect in-kind donations from various drives throughout the year. My husband and I also support the organization with monthly financial donations through our company.

Tell us about yourself!

I’ve worked in the Real Estate industry for the last ten years. I am also the Outreach Coordinator at my local church. I enjoy giving people the opportunity to serve in their community for various causes in North County San Diego. When I am not working or volunteering I love catching up with friends and hanging out at the beach.
